Happy Thanksgiving...

There's nothing you can do that can't be done... There's nothing you can sing that can't be sung... Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game... It's easy... Nothing you can make that can't be made... No one you can save that can't be saved... Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time... It's easy... Nothing you can know that can't be known... Nothing you can see that can't be shown... Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be... It's easy... All you need is love... Love is all you need...

So I'm watching movies. Movies make me happy. Like music, movies take me away. They get me out of the funk I'm in. They give me inspiration, even if they're fictional. People in movies say things like "I'd rather have 30 minutes of wonderful then a lifetime of nothing." Things like that get me thinking. My brain is going, but it's good.

The holidays always bring out these crazy sides of people. People get depressed during the holidays. I always understood why. There was never a time when I didn't understand how people were sad during the holidays. Even as a child, I understood. Society has beefed up the holidays so much. Think about it, in movies, the most wonderful things happen during the holidays. Well it's Christmas so even though we fought and I left you, I'm going to come back on Christmas night and everything will be okay. End of story. Every single one of us wishes so bad that on these holidays something wonderful will happen. And we are so consumed with the unthinkable happening, that we are not grateful for what is in front of us.

It's hard to be happy when you think about what you've lost. All of your mistakes. All of the battles you've fought. Maybe even thinking about stuff that happened to you during the holidays. But you make it work. Be thankful that those things made you who you are. You're stronger because of your battles and you need to be thankful for those things as well. So, you sit at the table full of people who love you. Some of them don't show it. Some of them are assholes that you'd rather not spend time with. Either way, you're there. Even if it's just to fake it for the sake of the holidays. Whatever, you're loved. Even if just one person at that table loves you, you're loved. And that's a reason to be thankful.

The holidays don't have to suck. Sometimes they do, without you even realizing it. But someone out there loves you. And love is really all you need. Be thankful you're alive and breathing. Be grateful that you're here and you get to spend another holiday with these crazy lunatics. Be happy to be alive. If there is stuff in your life that makes you unhappy, vow to yourself that by the time the next holiday rolls around you'll change it. Life gets to be too much. You need to breathe and you need to figure out how to make it better.

Sit at that table and enjoy yourself. Miracles and wonderful things happen everyday... And we just need to be thankful.

Thanks for reading... Happy Thanksgiving...
